How to get crispy skinned salmon

A beautifully cooked piece of fish is treat enough, but when the skin is crispy, crunchy and oh-so-delicious, it makes the experience all the tastier. The Australian Women's Weekly expert Pamela Clarke has the tips you need.

If you want to make the skin on your fish crunch when you bite in to it, sprinkle the skin side of the fish with some salt.

Put the fish skin side down in to a hot, oiled pan, and give it about a minute to make sure the skin is lovely and crispy.

And then it's time to get fun with the rest of the dish! Some of the healthy salmon recipes we're loving at the moment:

Salmon with green papaya and pink grapefruit salad: Fresh, light and packed with nutrients, this dish is a no-fuss midweek meal that you'll fall in love with.

Crispy curried salmon: Take your favourite fish in to the cooler months with a curry sauce with a kick. Comforting and delicious!

Salmon with shaved cauliflower salad: If you've got a couple of salmon fillets leftover from last night's dinner, adding a light, crunchy salad will freshen it up for today's lunch.

Pan-fried salmon with prosciutto and thyme: Take your salmon in to grown-up territory with the addition of cured Italian prosciutto and fragrant herbs.

Salmon with lime creme fraiche: This one will become a fast family favourite; fresh, zingy and ready in 20 minutes, dinner has never been easier.
