Ready in just 20 minutes, these tasty hot dogs are an easy midweek treat for the family.


Sweet chilli pork hot dogs

  • 4 thick pork sausages
  • cooking oil spray
  • 1 large carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 cup coriander, chopped
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 breadstick (baguette), cut into 4 equal portions, split
  • 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1/4 cup shallots, fried


Sweet chilli pork hot dogs

  1. Heat a large frying pan over moderate heat. Spray sausages with oil. Add the sausages to pan; cook and turn for 8 minutes or until browned and cooked. Transfer to a heatproof plate.
  2. Combine carrot, coriander and green onion in a bowl. Whisk juice, fish sauce and sesame oil in a bowl. Add dressing to carrot mixture; toss to combine.
  3. Fill each bread portion with a sausage, then top with the carrot mixture. Drizzle with sweet chilli sauce. Serve hot dogs sprinkled with fried shallots.
